Natural Gas Distribution Company is the leading company in the field of natural gas (dry gas) distribution and it is the largest local companies after Saudi Aramco in this field.
The company was established in 2000 under the license of the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources to supply the factories of the second industrial city in Riyadh with dry gas.
The first phase of supplying dry gas started in 2002 for (72) factories. The company is continuously expanding in the supply of gas to other factories, where the number of factories currently consuming gas (72) factory.
The company is supplied with natural gas from Saudi Aramco through a main pipeline. The company's expertise includes the operation and maintenance of natural gas networks in the second industrial city. And industrial cities in the Kingdom..

شركة توزيع الغاز الطبيعي هي الشركة الرائدة في مجال توزيع الغاز الطبيعي (الجاف) وتعتبر من أكبر الشركات المحلية، بعد أرامكو السعودية في هذا المجال
تأسست الشركة عام 2000م بموجب ترخيص وزارة الطاقة والصناعة والثروة المعدنية وذلك لتزويد مصانع المدينة الصناعية الثانية في الرياض بالغاز الجاف. بدأت المرحلة الأولى بتزويد الغاز الجاف في عام 2002م لعدد (72) مصنعا ً. وتقوم الشركة بالتوسع المستمر في إمداد الغاز للمصانع الأخرى ، حيث يبلغ عدد المصانع المستهلكة للغاز حالياً (72) مصنعاً.
يتم تزويد الشركة بالغاز الطبيعي من شركة أرامكو السعودية عبر خط أنبوب رئيسي ، وتقوم الشركة بدورها بإيصال الغاز الجاف الى المصانع في المدينة الصناعية الثانية بالرياض عبر شبكة تم إنشائها وفقاً لمواصفات شركة أرامكو السعودية والمواصفات العالمية المعروفة. تتضمن خبرات الشركة أعمال تشغيل وصيانة شبكات الغاز الطبيعي بالمدينة الصناعية الثانية. والمدن الصناعية في المملكة

The rotten egg like odor added to gas that comes from the additive called mercaptan, a chemical that has a sulphur-like smell.
The fuel gas is being distributed through an underground carbon steel pipeline network. The pipeline size is 12” to 2” with the main header pressure of 350 PSI and reduced
to required pressure of factories.
MMSCF (Million Standard Cubic Feet) is used for fuel gas consumed volume and MMBTU (Million British Thermal Unit) for the consumed energy value.
The data from the customer meters are collected automatically through SCADA system and the total gas quantities is compared
with the quantity supplied by Saudi Aramco prior in issuing invoices to each customer.
The energy is obtained by multiplying gas quantity consumed with the gas heating value.
Normally it is within the range of 930 BTU/SCF to 1080 BTU/SCF
Standard Cubic Feet per hour (SCFH).
NGDC metering skid is a complete assembly of equipment of pressure reduction and gas flow measurement.
